Community Albums
2010 sees the launch of an exciting new initiative that Sitting Duck have been developing called ‘Community Albums’
There is a growing agreement amongst leading international aid charities (NGO’s) that the problem of low self esteem and the need for creative and critical thinking within poor communities is essential in the fight to reduce poverty.
Community Albums uses music, photography and video to empower poor communities across the world, in order to give them a voice and raise awareness of the issues they face.
We aim to raise funds in order to put together mobile recording/ video facilities and provide training in how to use them. We plan to deliver these resources to communities in the developing world. They will be able to collaborate and communicate with others across the globe via the Community Albums website.
